Domaine Jean-Baptiste Ponsot, Rully Rouge 1er Cru ‘Molesme’

Description

The 2014 Rully 1er Cru Molesme is more straightforward than the Village Cru “En Bas de Vauvry” and did not display the same level of complexity or personality. The palate is better with peach skin and green apple notes, a fine line of acidity, but I cannot help but think that the Village Cru slips past this Premier Cru in the slipstream. Still, this remains a commendable Rully.
